About the company
OptiFluides is a design office specializing in Fluid Mechanics.
We provide solutions to technical problems linked to fluid flows, mainly through numerical simulation (Computational Fluid Dynamics or CFD), but also through experimental measurements.
We are involved in a wide variety of technical projects in the energy and environment, hydraulics, health and chemical sectors. Our customers include many major accounts, such as EDF, CNR, Safran and General Electric, as well as ETIs and SMEs looking for specific skills.
Founded in 2011, OptiFluides is a very small company with 4 engineers and PhDs, and we place particular emphasis on technical expertise and the quality of our work. We strive to create a professional atmosphere that fosters collaboration and individual responsibility, in the management of projects and working hours, based on a strong sense of belonging.
Missions
As an R&D engineer in Fluid Mechanics, you will be responsible for managing and carrying out projects for our customers. For CFD studies:
- Creation of meshes using Gambit, Fluent Meshing or other software: simplification and correction of CAD, construction of the fluid domain, meshing adapted to the flow to be solved,
- Simulations: selection of suitable physics and models, boundary conditions, launch of calculations, analysis of results, drafting of deliverables,
- Customer relations: project follow-up and delivery meetings, compliance with deadlines and contractual requirements, informal exchanges…
- Development of models and numerical methods.
Depending on your personal aptitude, you may also be given responsibility for the sales and pre-project phases:
- Analysis of customer needs, determination of a suitable solution method,
- Costing the solution and drawing up a quotation.
